An evening of celebration and recognition as the Orange County arts community gathers to honor its arts stars.

This year’s Honorees are:

The 2019 Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award Honorees for Lifetime Achievement:
Ernesto and Socorro Vasquez, arts patrons and philanthropists, UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts, Orange County Museum of Art, Smithsonian Latino Center, South Coast Repertory, The Wooden Floor, Arts Orange County, Orange County Community Foundation and the Orange County Hispanic Education Endowment Fund.

Cherie Kerr, improv artist and founder, L.A. Groundlings & founder, the Orange County Crazies

Jerry Mandel, President, Irvine Barclay Theatre & former President, Orange County Performing Arts Center

Carl St.Clair, 30th Anniversary, Music Director, Orange County’s Pacific Symphony

Achievement Award for Outstanding Arts Organization

Grand Central Art Center, California State University, Fullerton – Santa Ana,  20th Anniversary, contemporary art incubator & hub for social and cultural exchange

Outstanding Artist/Arts Leader
James Dinh, landscape architect, sculptor and cultural advocate

Proceeds from this event help fund Orange County’s work in arts and arts education advocacy, its programs for public engagement in the arts, including the Imagination Celebration, SparkOC.com, Día del Niño, the Creative Edge Lecture and VOICES: Veterans Storytelling Project, and the provision of free and affordable consultancy services to local arts organizations.
