With 2019 National Signing Day firmly in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to look ahead to 2020.
It’s too early to put out a list of Houston’s Top 100 recruits in 2020 – that list will come out in August – but it’s never too early to take a peek at some of the big names who are sure to be on the list.
The top two players are no-brainers – North Shore running back Zach Evans and Tomball receiver Demond Demas.
INSIDE THE STATE’S TOP RECRUIT: Zach Evans is North Shore’s next big hit
Evans is ranked as the No. 1 running back recruit in the county in the Class of 2020 and the No. 2 overall recruit by 247Sports. Evans has offers from every big-name program in the country, and recently narrowed his college choices to 11 – with Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama and Georgia highlighting the list.
Demas is another five-star recruit, who has starred at North Forest High School, but recently transferred to Tomball. Demas is ranked as the No. 3 receiver in the country and the No. 20 overall recruit by 247Sports. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Demas also has offers from all over the country, but he committed to Texas A&M in September.
