Join us for GCSN’s 13th Conference for STEM Education with a special celebration this year in honor of GCSN’s 25 Year Anniversary. GCSN is a local chapter of the California Science Teachers Assocition and has been helping to shape the landscape of science education since 1993. In honor of the work of this organization, its volunteers, and its supporters, this year’s conferene will include a brief awards presentation.
Participants will be able to:
Choose from more than 20 workshops in four breakout sessions, including a focus on Common Core and NGSS
Bring home ready-to-use lessons, materials, and ideas for teaching science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
Attend two keynote speakers
Network with local teachers and STEM Organizations from Ventura and surrounding counties
Celebrate the people and organizations who have contributed to GCSN’s legacy of providing quality support to STEM educators and the public since 1993
In addition, this year’s keynote presentations have been selected based on the “changing landscape” theme. Dr. Tanya Atwater and Dr. Bob Anderson have both presented at previous GCSN Conferences and are wildly popular speakers. Dr. Atwater will address the changing landscape of California while Dr. Anderson, who is part of the Mars Rover mission, will address our emerging understanding of the changing landscape of mars.

Dr. Bob Anderson, Research Scientist/Supervisor-Geophysics & Planetary Geosciences, Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technology, will address “Our Changing Understanding of the Martian Landscape”
