To ensure the highest quality of professional services, clinicians need effective supervision. Objective feedback and guidance from a Supervisor fosters the professional development of the less experienced therapist implementing play therapy for the first time and helps to ensure that the public is well-served. Many complex issues arise in the practice of play therapy that range from complicated clinical situations to ethical dilemmas to legal issues. It is of utmost importance that the supervisor be educated on how to provide play therapy specific support to the clinicians. This workshop covers the issues and skills needed for effective supervision, illustrated by a live demonstration and small group practice.
