Media Arts Santa Ana (MASA), organizers of the OC Film Fiesta, and New York’s Philip K. Dick Film Festival are joining forces to bring the 7th Philip K. Dick Film Festival to Santa Ana March 14-17, 2019, to celebrate the unique vision and legacy of legendary author Philip K. Dick, during his 90th Anniversary and the 50th Anniversary of the publication of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep!
Philip K. Dick lived and wrote in Santa Ana, and his later major works were influenced by his experiences in Orange County. Join us in a cinematic celebration of Philip K. Dick’s work and influence in the city where he lived and wrote, with short films and features from around the world.
Screenings will be held at the Orange County Museum of Art, Echo Park Film Center and the historic Ebell Club theater, which is less than one block from where Philip K. Dick lived and wrote in Santa Ana! Join us for the world’s best sci–fi, panels and Philip K. Dick walking tours!
The mission of the Philip K. Dick Film Festival is to promote original or adapted material inspired by the works of Philip K. Dick, Jorge Luis Borges, Italo Calvino, Robert Anton Wilson, Franz Kafka and others who have explored the metaphysical, the eerie in all its manifestations. We look at films that challenge the viewers reality with ideas and concepts not normally found in conventional stories.
Media Arts Santa Ana (MASA) inspires the next generation of digital visionaries by empowering the local community through classes, festivals, screenings, technology access, workshops, special initiatives, social media training and networking opportunities.
