LACCD’s Spring 2019 District Discipline Day will provide an opportunity for faculty to discuss discipline-specific areas of interest, as well as learn about current hot topics such as the impact of the new Student Centered Funding Formula, implementation of AB 705 (Irwin, 2017), and the Guided Pathways Initiative. Many significant and exciting developments are happening at our colleges and throughout the state; understanding these developments will empower faculty and help inform institutional planning. This event is also an invaluable opportunity for faculty to meet with their discipline peers at other LACCD colleges and learn about the work of the District Discipline Committees.
Presentations will focus on:
New Student Centered Funding Formula for CA Community Colleges
Latest Information on the Implementation of AB 705 for Math, English, and ESL
Guided Pathways and Use of Program Mapper in the LACCD
Introduction to the Cornerstone Professional Development System
